Iran, Qatar stress on boosting bilateral ties
Senior foreign policy advisor to the Iran’s Parliament (Majlis) and Qatar’s ambassador to Tehran emphasized the need to boost bilateral relations in various spheres, including the parliamentary, AVA Diplomatic reports.
Hossein Amirabdollahian and Ambassador Ali bin Hamad Al Sulaiti met on Thursday and discussed latest regional and international developments.
They also exchanged views on the issues of mutual interest to Qatar and Iran.
Referring to the significance Iran attaches to the relations with Qatar, the Iranian official stressed on the necessity of boosting relations between the two countries in general, and parliamentary ties in particular.
The Qatari ambassador, meanwhile, highlighted the positive role Tehran can play in establishing peace, security and stability in the region, as well as in fight against terrorism.
Echoing the Iranian official’s views, he also said that boosting relations between Tehran-Doha is of great importance to both countries.
