Ambassadors of Venezuela, Ecuador and Cuba in Tehran urged on Thursday that the Iran nuclear deal known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) should be maintained and by all parties involved in the international accord, Including Washington, AVA Diplomatic reports.
The Iran nuclear deal is an international issue and it should be maintained, Ecuador’s Ambassador to Tehran Germán Alejandro Ortega Almeida said at a news conference held in the Venezuelan embassy in Tehran on the 13th anniversary of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Americas (ALBA), according to IRNA.
It took two years for the landmark July 2015 deal to be signed between G5+1 and Tehran and they agreed on every single world of the text of the agreement, Almeida added.
We know that the United States has failed to fulfill its JCPOA commitments, the envoy added.
The Venezuelan and Cuban envoys to the Iranian capital were also present at today’s press event.
Founded initially by Cuba and Venezuela in 2004, the 11-member Bolivarian Alliance for the Americas (ALBA) is associated with socialist and social democratic governments wishing to consolidate regional economic integration based on a vision of social welfare.
