Direct exchange of news key to develop Iran-Turkmenistan ties

Managing Director of the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) referred to direct exchange of news as the key to develop relations between Iran and Turkmenistan, AVA Diplomatic reports.

“IRNA focuses on economic ties as regard Turkmenistan,” Mohammad Khoddadi said on Tuesday in a meeting with Turkmenistan envoy to Tehran, Ahmad Ghorbanov.

He also expressed hope for both countries’ new agencies to use valid sources to create link between Iranian and Turkmen investors and elites.

Turkmenistan’s gross domestic product is over 6% meaning that the country enjoys developing economy in Central Asia and Caucasus

Meanwhile, Ghorbanov said that Turkmenistan continued its ties with Iran in sanctions era.

During the meeting both sides discussed boosting cooperation between IRNA and Turkmen Press.

Turkmen ambassador also toured IRNA news room.
