Opening the new DPRK Embassy in Tehran marks a definitive hallmark in incrementing exchanges and interactions between the people of the two countries and realizing global peace and stability and international justice. This reflects the will of our government that in spite of the leaf-turning in the international context, the strategic ties established by the great DPRK Leaders, Kim Il-sung and Kim Jong-il, with Iran, which later evolved into joint anti-imperialistic fights, should further grow into other areas as well.

Just as conducted in the past, we shall spare no effort in promoting friendly relations with Iran into various areas such as politics, economy, culture, etc. as well as constantly and perfectly supporting the just idea of the government and people of Iran to defend the achievements of the Islamic Revolution and national developments and independence.

The Embassy of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea in the I. R. Iran bases on the principles of independence, peace and friendship, which are foreign policy ideals and shall play its role to the fullest in solidifying friendships and enhancing cooperation between the people of the DPRK and Iran.
