Sri Lanka Embassy in Tehran Celebrates the 150th Anniversary of Ceylon Tea

The 150th Anniversary of Ceylon Tea was celebrated by the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Tehran in the afternoon on 06 July 2017, AVA Diplomatic reports.

 The event was attended by H.E. Mr. Nazar Afzali, Member of Parliament of Iran, Ambassadors of the Diplomatic Missions in Iran, Senior Officials of Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Commerce of Iran, Heads of UN Agencies in Iran, Senior Officials of Chamber of Commerce of Iran, Officials of the Iranian Tea Association, leading tea importers in Iran, journalists and representatives of leading tour /travel agencies in Iran.

 H.E. Mr. Y.K.A. Rohanajith, Ambassador of Sri Lanka in Iran, briefed the gathering on the achievements of Sri Lanka’s Tea industry.

 Those attended “Afternoon Tea” had the opportunity to enjoy the different tastes of Ceylon Tea.
