Iran calls for independent states’ united approach in international scene
President Hassan Rouhani on Tuesday called for closer relations among independent states, and noted that the world should hear a unique sound from these states, AVA Diplomatic reports.
He made the remarks in a meeting with the new Mexican Ambassador to Iran Jose Alfonso Zegbe Camarena.
The new envoy submitted his credentials to Iranian President Rouhani during the meeting.
‘We believe that big powers’ interference in other countries’ affairs should be stopped,’ president said during the meeting.
Iranian and Mexican governments are committed to develop ties in all fields, he noted.
Rouhani said that the two countries should find common grounds for cooperation and pave the way for development of relations between their private sectors.
He referred to longstanding ties between Tehran and Mexico City and voiced hope for improvement of ties in particular the economic relations.
Iran and Mexico share similar stance towards world developments, the President noted, adding that political dialogue is the solution to international problems.
He said that Iran and Mexico should ally in the international scene.
Good relations with central and southern American countries, including Mexico are parts of Iran policy, Rouhani said.
He noted that after execution of JCPOA and partial removal of Iran sanctions, ground is now ready for promotion of ties between Tehran and Mexico City.
Mexican envoy, for his part, conveyed congratulatory message of Mexico President Enrique Peña Nieto to his Iranian counterpart and hailed high level of cooperation between the two countries’ governments and parliaments.
He declared Mexico City’s interest for deepening of ties with Tehran, adding that Mexico will do its best to elevate economic and trade cooperation with Iran in line with the political relations.
