South Korean Ambassador to Iran Kim Seung-ho visited Afghan refugees guest-city in the provincial city of Taft in Yazd province, central Iran, on Thursday, AVA Diplomatic reports.
The South Korean ambassador and a group of Korean embassy officials were in Yazd for a tow-day visit.
The ambassador participated in a ceremony to present a symbolic food basket to representative of Afghan refugees in the Taft guest-city where he underlined that Seoul will continue sending relief aid to the refugees.
South Korea contributes to part of expenses for refugees food basket in Iran.
The ambassador also visited refugees’ school in Taft and talked with a number of pupils and school masters.
In his visit to Yazd, the South Korean diplomat was accompanied by the representative of the World Food Program in Iran.
They also visited a wheat flour factory which provides part of the food basket for Afghan refugees.
The Korean delegation visited tourist attractions of Yazd at the end of their two-day visit.
Taft is located 20 km from the city of Yazd.
