Iran, Portugal scientific cooperation to increase

Deputy Minister of Science, Research and Technology for international affairs Hossein Salar-Amoli discussed and exchanged views on expansion of joint scientific cooperation with new Portuguese Ambassador in Tehran Jaoa Corte Real on Sunday, AVA Diplomatic reports.

He said that Portugal has always been a friendly country for Iran, and added that Iran may strengthen its cooperation with Portuguese scientists and research institutes.

Upon “Horizon 2020” program of European Commission development, expansion and strengthening reciprocal scientific cooperation of Iran with its European partners, like Portugal, could be effective.

Corte Real, for his part, expressed pleasure for international scientific cooperation development and progresses and establishment of such ties between the two countries.
