Head of UN Environment to visit Iran

The UN Under-Secretary-General and Head of UN Environment, Mr. Erik Solheim is scheduled to visit the Islamic Republic of Iran from 24 to 26 February 2017, AVA Diplomatic reports.

Mr. Solheim is expected to meet senior officials in Tehran and focus on expanding regional cooperation on environmental issues and strengthening the partnership between Iran and the neighboring countries to solve the environmental problems in the region.

During his stay, Mr. Solheim will attend the “The 16th Iran International Environment Exhibition” and visit the Lake Urmia.
