Solar power plant inauguration in Hamadan is JCPOA outcome

German Ambassador to Tehran, Michael Klor-Berchtold, said on Saturday inauguration of a seven megawatt solar power plant in Hamadan marks immediate outcome of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA)’s implementation, AVA Diplomatic reports.

Berchtold made the remarks on the sidelines of ceremonies, marking commissioning of two seven megawatt solar power plants in Hamadan.

He then voiced satisfaction with ‘good’ cooperation between Iran and Germany in renewable energies.

The senior foreign diplomat said Germany has supported Iran in nuclear energy deal and is still supporting Iran and wants cooperation in the field of modern and progressive technologies with Iran.

The Persian Gulf solar power plant in Hamadan is the first and largest solar power plant in Iran, which was inaugurated in presence of Energy Minister, Hamid Chitchian, and by message of President Hassan Rouhani.

The second power plant was also inaugurated simultaneously in another location in Hamadan.
