Iran, Azerbaijan call for news sharing

Managing Director of the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) Mohammad Khoddadi on Sunday called for news sharing by their respective news agency, AVA Diplomatic reports.
Khoddadi said in a meeting with Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) Mohammad Khoddadi on Sunday.
In the meeting, the two sides called for expansion of professional media cooperation to help bolster ties between the two countries.
Iran is very serious in broadening ties and cooperation with Azerbaijan, Khoddadi said.
The two sides should exchange more news and information on economic capabilities as both sides’ businessmen and traders need such vital information to broaden cooperation.
A powerful and developed Azerbaijani will be to the benefit of Iran but there are third parties, who are not happy with the expansion of relations and cooperation between Tehran and Baku and spare no efforts through spread of rumors to weaken ties between the two countries, Khoddadi said.
Iran and Azerbaijan should establish a very close cooperation in dissemination of news and media cooperation, Khoddadi said.
IRNA is ready to transfer its experience in the field of news dissemination to Azeri news agencies, he said.
There exists huge grounds for expansion of mutual, regional and international cooperation between the two sides’ news agencies, Khoddadi said.
The Azeri ambassador, for his part called for expansion and bolstering of cultural ties and cooperation between the two countries.
Level of relations in politics and economy is excellent but the two sides should boost such ties in the cultural sector, he said.
