Chinese Ambassador to Iran meets with Hossein Sobhani-Nia

Hossein Sobhani-Nia, Co-chairman of Iran-China Parliamentary Friendship Group met and talked with Pang Sen, Chinese ambassador to Iran,  AVA Diplomatic reported.Sobhani-Nia highlighted the significant role of the parliaments in broadening relations and cooperation between the two countries and said: “The parliament supports the development of mutual political, economic, parliament and regional relations”.

The two countries Parliamentary Friendship Groups can facilitate the expansion of cooperation and remove the obstacles of economic cooperation, he said.

Co-chairman of Iran-China Parliamentary Friendship Group pointed to the shared views of the two countries on different international and regional issues and said: “The cooperation between Iran and China as two influential powers in Asia plays a pivotal role in the stability and security of this continent especially in the sensitive Middle-East”.

Member of Iranian Parliament’s Presiding Board said that the lasting and good relations between Iran and China secures the interests of the region countries and emphasized on the continuation of mutual consultations about issues and developments of the region. He also emphasized on the importance of the interaction between the high-ranking officials of the two countries.

Pang Sen, on his part, said that Iran is an important and powerful country in the region and world and that his country is determined to expand all-out relations with Tehran.

“The relations between Iran and China are long-standing and have roots in the history and to the interest of region countries”, he said.

He referred to the Silk Road as a symbol of friendly and long-lasting cooperation between the two nations and added: “The strategic idea of Silk Road provides good opportunities for the expansion of bilateral ties”.

The Chinese ambassador also pointed to the role of parliaments in broadening the ties and cooperation between the two countries and said: “The expansion of bilateral ties is highly important to the National People’s Congress of China”.

He added that common stances of the two countries on different regional and international issues provide good grounds for the expansion of the ties.
