Iraq’s Ambassador to Tehran Rajeh Saber Abboud al-Mousavi on Saturday admired Iranian diplomacy to end the 12-year nuclear dispute with the western governments, saying that Iranian diplomacy serves the international peace and security, AVA Diplomatic reports.

He appreciated the success of government of President Hassan Rouhani to take action in line with Settlement of International Disputes by diplomatic means to bolster peace and security in the international community.
He criticized certain Arab government for failure to respect the international peace, saying that they pursue escalation with the regional governments wining support of the western governments.
The ambassador acknowledged the initiative put forward by President Hassan Rouhnai to the United Nations General Assembly, calling for the World Against Violence and Extremism. The initiative was approved by the General Assembly and became the Interntional Law.
The ambassador expressed deep concern about escalation of violence and terrorism in the regionm saying that such extensive terrorism cannot be staged without financial and logistical support of the regional governments.
He said that the coalition against terrorism formed by the US allies failed to achieve the goal of the international community and is lagging behind in absence of the international resolve to destroy the terrorist groups.
All saw that such coalitions left no impacts on the international campaign against terrorism, he said.
The Islamic Republic of Iran from early stages of terrorist attacks in Iraq and Syria backed people and the legitimate governments in the region and still continues to provide the countries suffering from terrorism with military advice and diplomatic support to thwart the conspiracy to stir up Islamophobia in the international community, he said.
The Iraqi ambassador blamed certain government in the region for supporting the terrorists and at the same time breaking up relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran, Iraq, Syria, Yemen and the other countries suffering from terrorism.
He brushed aside the accusation against Iran over meddling in the domestic affairs of the Arab governments, saying that in the recent meeting of the League of Arab States, the governments of the member states accused Iran of meddling in the affairs of other countries.
Iran’s presence in Iraq was upon request made by the Iraqi government seeking military advice to destroy the terrorist groups in Iraq, he said.
Regretfully, a number of countries in the region winning support of the western governments systematically kill the Muslim citizens under the guise of human rights, he said.
He deplored the fact that terrorism and violence have engulfed the entire region and to disintegrate the nations in the region based on tribal and religious fanaticism, adding that they seek to deprive the region of economic development and stability.
‘Leave us alone, you cannot be regarded as our leaders, the era of colonialism is over and nations are to determine their own fate,’ the Iraqi ambassador said.
Expansion of economic cooperation, the status of pilgrims as well as MKO were the topics raised with the ambassador in the interview.
Iraqi army and nation have fought with terrorism winning support of Iranian military advisors, he said.
He expressed surprise that certain governments in the region are concerned about Iran’s support to the Iraqi government.
Enemies in the region attempted to weaken relations between Iran and Iraq and the Iranian support for the Iraq have disrupted their schemes and that is why they show enmity with Iran, he said.
The ambassador said that the Iraqi government is aware of the bias against Iranian nuclear program citing the Fatwa (religious edict) issued by Iran’s Supreme Leader prohibiting possession of nuclear bomb, adding that the pressure the western governments exert on Iran is politically-motivated.
They are well aware of the fact that people in Iran and Iraq are followers of their religious leaders, he said adding that under such pretext they tried to create obstacles on the path of Iranian economic development, but, thank God, Iran made great economic achievements even after imposing the sanctions.
The Iraqi ambassador expressed deep concern about deterioration of the humanitarian situation in Syria and Yemen, saying that the Syrian people have the right to elect their government, but, the enemies disliked it and carried bombardment and hired mercenaries to massacre people in Syria and Yemen.
The ambassador compared the humanitarian situation in Syria, Yemen to Palestine, saying that the people in Yemen call for freedom, but, they were subject to Saudi air raids and the same rule applies to people in Palestine.
