Syria moving in line with objectives of Islamic Revolution: Envoy

Syrian Ambassador to Iran Adnan Mahmood stressed on Tuesday that Damascus is moving in line with the objectives of Iran’s 1979 Islamic Revolution, AVA Diplomatic reports.

Mahmood made the remarks in a congratulating message addressed to Mohammad Khoddadi, Director General of the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) on the occasion of the 37th anniversary of Iran’s Islamic Revolution.

He said that Iran’s revolution, led by the late Ayatollah (Imam) Khomeini, has become the foundation of establishing humanitarian values, and has provided a blueprint for other countries to follow for administering justice and liberation of the oppressed people in the world.

The Syrian ambassador further expressed his utmost admiration for the positions taken by Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei in supporting Syria in its fight against the terrorist groups and takfiris who are an extension of the hegemonic powers of the West.

Mahmood exemplified Ayatollah Khamenei as a role model for bravery and strength in confronting arrogant powers that are exploiting the oppressed nations.
