Slovenia names new ambassador to Iran

Slovenian new non-resident ambassador to Tehran submitted a copy of his credentials to Deputy Foreign Minister Morteza Sarmadi on Sunday, AVA Diplomatic reports.
During the meeting in Tehran, the deputy foreign minister referred to longstanding relations between the two countries, calling for enhanced bilateral cooperation on different areas.
Iran’s Sixth Five-Year Development Plan pays special attention to attracting foreign investment and technology, Sarmadi said, adding that this plan provides other countries with more facilities to promote relations with Iran.
Meanwhile, the Slovenian ambassador expressed hope that the embassy in Tehran will reopen following an upcoming visit to Tehran by the country’s foreign minister.
The envoy said that he will make every effort to make use of all the existing capacities to boost economic relations between the two countries during his tenure.
