Iran’s Ministry of Interior and UNICEF Iran sign Programme of Cooperation
Mr. Babak Dinparast Vice Minister for International Affairs, Ministry of Interior and Dr. Ezio Gianni Murzi UNICEF Iran Country Office Representative signed Programme of Cooperation, AVA Diplomatic reports.
The signing ceremony was attended by representatives from Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Health and Medical Education, Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS), Iran’s police forces and Organization of Municipalities.
Hosting the ceremony in the Ministry of Interior, Mr. Babak Dinparast raised hope for boosting bilateral ties in future.
Vice Minister for International Affairs of Ministry of Interior further referred to Prevention of Traffic Accidents and Injury Prevention; Emergency Preparedness; Children with Disabilities and Promotion of Mother and Baby Friendly Spaces as the main areas of cooperation.
Dr. Gianni Murzi for his part appreciated the efforts made by all relevant ministries and organizations, particularly Ministry of Interior to lay the groundwork for signing the programme of cooperation and expressed UNICEF Iran’s readiness to share the knowledge and lessons learned in similar UNICEF’s projects all over the world.
“This programme of cooperation is just a new beginning and I hope the scope of mutual cooperation is expanded in the next country programme of the Ministry of Interior and UNICEF,” Dr. Murzi added.
The programme aims to promote inclusive economic growth, sustainable human development, access to social and economic welfare and prevention of poverty.
