 ISIL will fail to achieve its goals: Envoy

Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) will fail to achieve its goals, Ambassador of the interests section of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Iran , Khaled Emara said on Wednesday, AVA Diplomatic reports.

The sidelines of 10th Islamic Conference of Information Ministers, he noted that the Islamic governments are facing the challenge of criminal terrorist gangs misportraying the peaceful face of Islam.

Terrorists are not related to Islam and they will fail to achieve their goals, the envoy noted.

He underlined that many ISIL terrorists have come from the West indicating that they have no root in Islam.

The official urged establishment of a joint satellite TV of the Islamic states and asked Islamic countries’ news outlets to propagate moderate Islam.

The 10th meeting of ICIM inaugurated on Wednesday. Information ministers from a large number of Muslim states are attending the two-day ministerial meeting at Azadi Hotel, northern Tehran.

During the session, Iran will receive the presidency of the 10th ICIM meeting from Gabon which presided over the 9th meeting.
