Egyptian Diplomat: Dialogue between Egyptian, Iranian FMs Going On At Different Levels

Dialogue between the Egyptian and Iranian foreign ministries is going on at different levels and is progressing but more time in needed, especially as relations between the two countries have been severed for more than 30 years, said head of the Egyptian mission to Iran Khaled Emara, AVA Diplomatic reports. In a statement Emara said the popular Egyptian interaction with the Iranian side through political, social and media powers facilitated the job of the Foreign Ministry in conveying the Egyptian vision towards many developments and gave a chance to listen to Iran’s assessment to rapprochement with the Arab countries and the US.

Emara was referring to the latest visit by an Egyptian popular delegation to Iran.

“We have already started to see the effect of this visit in the statements of Ali Akbar Velayati, the top adviser to Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamene, who expressed full support for the Egyptian will and appreciation for their popular revolution.”

There is a serious will by the two countries to set up relations based on understandings and not according to urgent changes taking place to two major countries in the region, he said.
