 Emphasize on the Increasing Economic Transactions between Iran and Denmark

In the meeting of Iran chamber’s member administrations – Mashhad chamber’s head- and Denmark ambassador in Tehran was emphasized on the increasing economic transactions between two countries, AVA Diplomatic reports.According to the report of ICCIMA’s public relations quotes Mashhad chamber of commerce, pointing to the long history of economic cooperation and trade transactions between Iran and Denmark; Gholam Housein Shafeai said: “The fields of Danish economic cooperation in Iran were the establishment of rail way, cement industry, road construction and dairy industry.”

He added:”the important activity of Danish companies in Iran is cement industry and the Danish exports to Iran are industrial machinery, chemicals, medical equipment and supplies and drug.”

Pointing to the economic sanctions against Iran, Iran chamber’s vice president noted:” the sanctions have caused some limitations but it is not able to stop our economic developments and we can cooperate with Denmark in the fields of cement industry, wind power plants, petrochemicals, dairy and food industry and drug production.”

Shafeai emphasized: “If we have a proper planning for expanding economic relations and technical knowledge, the economic relations will improve between two countries.”

The head of Mashhad chamber said: “one of the current problems in two sides’ economic relations is the lack of enough information to the companies’ capabilities of two countries. In this regard, it will be effective to spread useful information for developing relations.”

He added: “Sarakhs special economic zone and the remarkable capacities of Khorasan for trilateral cooperation with regional countries are the good background for developing economic relations.

Pointing to the history of good relations between two countries, Anders Christian Hougaard Danish ambassador in Iran emphasized on the identifying Iranian and Danish potentials and capabilities in different fields and said:” the constructive, efficient and friendly dialogues cause to familiar and understand each other mutually and it will provide appropriate background for expanding friendly relations.”

He also added:” one of the current problems in two sides’ economic relations is the lack of enough information to the economic capabilities of two countries. It is necessary to be considered the economic cooperation with private sector more than before.”

Also Hougaard emphasized on the trilateral cooperation with Afghanistan and central Asia.
