A program “The Night of Ghassan Kanafani” will commemorate the late Palestinian writer in Tehran on Sunday, January 6, AVA Diplomatic reports.
in this event which will be held in cooperation between Bukhara Magazine and Rouzbahan Publishing, translator Gholam Reza Emami, former Iran’s Culture Minister Ahmad Masjed Jame’ei and poet and translator Musa Bidaj will make speech.
This ceremony will also be attended by the celebrated Algerian writer Waciny Laredj and Palestinian Ambassador in Tehran Salah Zawawi.
Kanafani who was also a key member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine was assassinated by Mossad in the early 1970s.
His book ‘Stories’ has been translated into Persian by Gholam Reza Emami and released by Rouzbahan Publishing in Tehran.
Emami has described Kanafani’s books as works which eschew sloganeering and manifest an artistic passion.
The works of this Palestinian writer have also been translated into many languages all around the world.
“The Night of Ghassan Kanafani” will be held at The House of Humanities Thinkers at 5 p.m.
