National Olympic Committee proposals to promote sport cooperation with Croatia
Head of National Olympic Committee Reza Salehi Amiri in meeting with Croatian Ambassador to Iran Stribor Kikerec here on Monday underlined promotion of sport cooperation between Tehran and Zagreb and declared readiness of the body in three fields of exchanging coaches, holding sports camps and providing hardware possibilities, AVA Diplomatic reports.
Salehi Amiri pointed to friendly relations between Croatia and Iran, and said that in spite of imposed sanctions, Zagreb continued its interactions with Iran, and undoubtedly this trend will develop sport cooperation between the two countries.
He said the two countries may hold sport camps in each other countries and exchange coaches.
Salehi Amiri also said hardware possibilities and a noticeable parts of sport equipment can be provided from Europe through cooperation of Croatia.
Kikerec pointed to sport MoU between the two countries which was signed two years ago, and said, ‘In case of execution of the MoU, the both sides will be benefitted, so in this direction the embassy is trying to hold a meeting between heads of National Olympic Committees in September.’
He welcomed three proposals by Salehi, and expressed readiness to fulfill them.
In the meeting, Secretary General of Olympic Committee Shahroukh Shahnazi was present as well.
