 German envoy: Berlin calling for preserving JCPOA

German Ambassador to Tehran Michael Klor-Berchtold said on Monday that Berlin insists on preserving the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), and believes that all members are responsible to regard it as an exemplary model in resolving disputes, AVA Diplomatic reports.

Despite the current disagreements to this end, Berlin insists on preserving the treaty and believes that it is among responsibilities of all members to spare no efforts for its success.

‘German ambassador to the US is also pursuing the same policy and is trying to persuade others to do the same thing as I am doing in Iran,’ he said.

Germany is among six countries that in the year 2015 and after years of diplomatic efforts could put an end to Iran’s nuclear dossier indicating that complicated global issues could be resolved through peaceful negotiations, German ambassador said.

Once the cooperation with France, Britain, the US, China and Russia proved to be a significant diplomacy in resolving global disputes, the envoy said.
