UN4U and Briefing on UN for high school students

UNIC in cooperation with UNESCO National Commission organized a briefing session on the United Nations for some 16 students from Allameh Heli, Farzanegan, Allameh Tabatabaee, Atomic Energy, Aboureyhan, Razi, Mahdavi and Mellat High Schools in Tehran at UNIC library on 5 July 2017, AVA Diplomatic reports.

Manager of Human and Social Sciences Department of UNESCO National Commission Dr. Sheida Mahnam and UNESCO National Commission Executive Advisor Sina Golafshan were present during the briefing.

During the session, UNIC National Information Officer Mohammad Moghadam briefly talked about the history of League of Nations and then elaborated on how the United Nations was established. He briefed the participants on the major organs of the UN, UN major activities, job opportunities the UN and UN Funds, Programmes and Specialized Agencies which are stationed in Tehran.

The briefing ended with a question and answer session.
