Dutch Company to Help Iran in Packaging Industry

A Dutch company declared readiness to help Iran’s private sector to improve quality of their packaging industry, AVA Diplomatic reports.

“My company is ready to cooperate with the Iranian companies in fruit and vegetable sorting and packaging,” Mohamed Laroussi, representative of Holland’s Fresh Hill Company said.

The Netherlands is ready to appoint agents to give a new momentum to exporting produce like tomatoes and nectarines.

In relevant remarks on Monday, Dutch Ambassador to Tehran Susana Trestal voiced willingness of her country’s firms in joining petrochemical projects in Iran.

Speaking on the sidelines of the 22nd Iran International Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemical Exhibition (Iran Oil Show-2017), the Dutch official said her country is seeking ways to establish cooperation with Iranian partners in petrochemical projects.

“We are trying to find the best methods for linking Iranian and Dutch banks so that financial transactions can be facilitated between them,” she said during a meeting with Managing Director of National Iranian Petrochemical Company (NPC) Marziyeh Shahdaei on the sidelines of the showcase.

Trestal said many Dutch companies have indicated readiness to join projects in Iran’s petrochemical sector.

She said direct financing of projects by Dutch companies is a difficult issue given the banking restrictions that still exist in dealing with Iran because of the sanctions on Tehran’s nuclear program.
