Foreign Minister, Mohammad-Javad Zarif, said on Sunday that Iran is suitable partner of Brazil in the region, AVA Diplomatic reports.
Zarif made the remarks in a meeting to receive copy of credentials of new Brazilian Ambassador to Iran, Azarreddo.
Given Iran’s interests to develop relations with Brazil, Zarif called capacities for mutual cooperation wide.
Considering existing advantages of Iran like skilled manpower, energy and suitable prices, Zarif called Iran as suitable partner of Brazil in the fields of economy, trade, investment and banking in the region.
The Brazilian envoy said Brazil is cooperating with Iran in different fields of oil, gas and petrochemicals and underlined Iran’s positive role in creating peace and stability in the region.
Concerning development of relations between the two countries, Ambassador Azarreddo said Brazil is not seeking to export goods to Iran, but is interested to import oil and other energy materials.
Referring to successful joint economic commission meeting of the two states, Azarreddo said Brazil has chosen Iran as a confident partner in the region.
The ambassador also repeated invitation of Brazilian foreign minister for Zarif to pay visit to the country.
