Members of Raad Rehabilitation Goodwill Complex commemorated Int’l Day of Persons with Disabilities

Raad Rehabilitation Goodwill Complex (RRGC) commemorated International Day of Persons with Disabilities at its auditorium on Saturday 3 December 2016. During the ceremony which was all carried out by disabled persons from RRGC, one of the disabled persons Mr. Seyyed Mehdi Mousavi referred to some of the problems disabled persons face in cities such inappropriate public passages and said suitable passages and proper public transportation in urban areas would further increase mobility and dynamism of disable people, AVA Diplomatic reports.
Raad Rehabilitation Goodwill Complex (RRGC) commemorated International Day of Persons with Disabilities at its auditorium on Saturday 3 December 2016.
During the ceremony which was all carried out by disabled persons from RRGC, one of the disabled persons Mr. Seyyed Mehdi Mousavi referred to some of the problems disabled persons face in cities such inappropriate public passages and said suitable passages and proper public transportation in urban areas would further increase mobility and dynamism of disable people.

He also said urban facilities are not in accordance to the persons with disabilities’ needs and using them may even cause damage to them.
Then UNIC National Information Officer Mohammad Rajai-Moghadam delivered the United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon’s message on the International Day of Persons with Disabilities for some 100 persons with disabilities and their families.
The ceremony was continued by giving prizes to the winners of Fourth Syber Space Festival for their innovations for the benefit of disabled persons.
Piadehro (Sidewalk) Theater Group with the actors from RRGC as well as professional actors performed a piece with the theme of employment for persons with disabilities, directed by Mr. Mehdi Bayat.
Also, RRGC Traditional Music Band played a folkloric piece for the participants.
