Two ambassadors submit credentials to Zarif
In separate meetings on Monday, the new ambassadors of Germany and Ecuador submitted their credentials to Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, the Foreign Ministry press office said, AVA Diplomatic reports.
Michael Klor-Berchtold and Alejandro Ortega Almeida will be respectively the new ambassadors of Germany and Ecuador to Tehran.
Iran and Germany’s relationship has also had its ups and downs.
However, the two countries signed a range of business deals in October, under which Tehran and Berlin are expected to develop closer economic relations.
Since Hassan Rouhani started his four-year tenure as Iran’s president, the country has moved towards the normalization of relations with various countries.
In September, he met with his Ecuadorian counterpart President Rafael Correa on the sidelines of the 17th NAM summit.
The two senior officials underlined the need for enhanced bilateral ties in all spheres.
