UNFPA Policy Communication Training

UNFPA’s sixth Country programme (2017 – 2021) advocates for the availability of evidence-based population and reproductive health strategies and action plans allowing the country to benefit from its demographic window of opportunity.  To improve the capacities to communicate strategic issues effectively, UNFPA organized a three day country-based course from 16 to 18 October 2017. Regional Forum on Policy Implication of Population Ageing

The opening ceremony for the Regional Forum on Policy Implications of Population Ageing took place earlier this morning at the Kaya Laleh Park Hotel Tabriz, with the presence of H.E. Visit to Positive Club in Shahriar

Dr. Leila Joudane, UNFPA Representative, Dr. Fardad Doroudi, UNAIDS Country Director, along with H.E Mr. Ian Biggs, Ambassador and Mr. William Lodder, Second Secretary of the Embassy of Australia in the Islamic Republic of Iran paid a visit to a counselling center for behavioral diseases and a Positive Club in Shahriar, approximately 40 km Southwest of Tehran. The visit was organized jointly by UNFPA and Ministry of Health and Medical Education to present HIV programmes of the IRI to representatives of selected donor countries, AVA Diplomatic reports.
