 European firms to continue trade with Iran: Envoy

Bulgarian Ambassador to Tehran Christo Polendakov said US unilateral withdrawal from Iran deal creates no obstacle for those European firms interested in having trade in Iran, AVA Diplomatic reports.

Polendakov made the remarks Tuesday addressing the inauguration ceremony of AMB Iran 2018 in Tehran.

Lifting sanctions is one the achievements of Iran nuclear deal also known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), he said, adding that the US unilateral act caused concerns in this regard.

The European Union is after preparing facilities for European investors and companies to continue activities in Iran, he added.

Today borderless trading is underway in the form of different events like exhibitions in the EU and also in other countries, Polendakov noted.

Meanwhile Bernhard Müller, Vice President and Member of the Board of Management Messe Stuttgart said holding AMB Iran 2018 indicates EU emphasis on developing trade ties with Iran.

The event is the biggest machinery exhibition in Iran and over 144 Iranian and foreign firms attended the event.
