 Pakistan Naval ships warmly welcomed at Iranian Port: Pak Navy

Pakistan Naval ships Rah Naward and Dehshat visited the Iranian port of Bandar Abbas from November 20 to 24, said a press release issued by Director General Public Relations Navy, AVA Diplomatic reports.

The Iranian Navy and the government accorded warm welcome to the Pakistani ships, the statement said.

It added that during the visit, Pakistan Naval delegation held many important meetings with military leadership of Iran on matters of mutual interest including calls on to Commodore Hossain Azad (Cdr 1st Naval Zone of Iran), Captain Mustafa Tajdeeni (Cdr Surface Forces of Iran,) Fereidon (Governor of Hormuzgan Province) and Ayatollah Ghulam Ali Naeemabadi (Representative of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenai).

Ambassador of Pakistan for Iran Asif Durrani, Senior military and civil officials of Iran, Military Attaches of Poland, Japan, Germany, and China also visited Rah Naward.

This is the second visit of Pak naval Ships in a year to Iran, which is aimed at promoting cooperation between th two navies for the peace and security of the region.

In April this year, an Iranian naval flotilla also docked at the Pakistani port of Karachi to convey the message of peace and friendship. Meanwhile an Iranian Navy delegation also participated as observer in Pakistan Navy’s international drill ‘AMAN-17’.
