 Swiss diplomat calls for Iran-Switzerland direct flight

Switzerland’s Foreign Ministry Director General for the Middle East Affairs Wolfgang Amadeus Bruelhart called for establishment of direct flights between Iran and Switzerland, AVA Diplomatic reports.

He made the remarks in a meeting with Isfahan Governor General Rasoul Zargarpour here on Monday, and expressed the hope that Iran Air would implement the idea.

Bruelhart also expressed readiness for cooperation with Isfahan in the fields of tourism, sciences and culture.

He added that many Swiss artists are interested to use experiences and capabilities of Isfahan’s artists, so it is possible to cooperate in this field for facilitation of the issue.

The Swiss diplomat also pointed to the roadmap of cooperation between the two countries, and said, ‘It has already been drawn and both presidents have agreed with it and in their meeting they agreed to take steps toward development of relations and cooperation.

Bruelhart accompany with Swiss Ambassador to Tehran travelled to Isfahan to visit historical sites of the city.

Trade exchanges between the two countries over past 10 years reduced noticeably.

Iran export to Switzerland was $19.9 million in the Iranian year 2006 and in 2014 hit $10.7 million.
